Postliminary:
This was a wonderful cruise aboard a wonderful ship. Having the three pre-cruise days in London, England was a nice touch. We lodged at the St. Ermin’s Hotel by Marriott complete with English Breakfast. On our first evening we did the Secret Indian Food Tour. The second day consisted of visiting the Cotswold’s area on the Secret Cottage Tour followed by a visit to Regent’s Park Open Air Theater for an interpretation of Peter Pan. Day 3 began with a visit to Hampton Court Palace, a return experience at my favorite Mexican Restaurant Café Pacifico in Covent Garden and then a Rickshaw ride to the Aldwych Theatre for an amazing presentation of the Tina Turner Musical. Perhaps the best ever! Before heading back to our hotel we made a quick jaunt to King’s Cross station for a few pic’s at Platform 9-3/4. The fourth morning began with breakfast and a transfer to the Cruise Ship Terminal in Southampton. The Cunard Queen Elizabeth was an elegant ship with amazing service. Our itinerary was headlined a return visit to St. Petersburg where we hoped to visit the Church on Spilled Blood this time and where the 2018 World Cup was being held. My favorite adventures of the cruise where the time spent at Secret Cottage and the time spent in St. Petersburg. As per the norm, our six dinner companions were magnificent.
